حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَاذَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا رَهِقَهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا وَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ يَرُدُّهُمْ حَتَّى قُتِلَ سَبْعَةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا أَنْصَفْنَا أَصْحَابَنَا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when the polytheists pressed upon him on the day of Uhud, said: Who will repel them from us and be my companion in Paradise? A man from the Ansar stood up and fought until he was killed. Then another stood to repel them until seven were killed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We have not been fair to our companions.
