✧ The king of Rome sent a gift to the Prophet ﷺ of a fur garment of fine silk, and the Prophet ﷺ wore it, and it was as if I could see its sleeves swaying. His companions said: 'O Messenger of God, was this sent down to you from heaven?' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, a handkerchief from the handkerchiefs of Sa'd b. Mu'adh in Paradise is better than this.' Then he sent it to Ja'far, and Ja'far wore it. He said: 'I did not send it to you for you to wear it.' He said: 'What should I do with it?' He said: 'Send it to your brother the Negus.'
