أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْفَجْرَ فَتَرَكَ آيَةً فَقَالَ «أَفِي الْقَوْمِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ؟» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ «نَسِيتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَوَ نُسِخَتْ؟» قَالَ «نُسِّيتُهَا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed the dawn prayer and omitted a verse. He said: "Is Ubayy b. Ka'b among the people?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, did you forget such-and-such a verse, or was it abrogated?" He said: "I forgot it."
