✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out a military expedition and appointed over them a man from the Ansar, and commanded them to listen and obey. They angered him about something, and he said: 'Gather firewood for me.' Then he said: 'Light it,' and they lit it. Then he said: 'Did not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ command you to listen and obey?' He said: 'Enter it.' They looked at one another and said: 'We fled to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Fire.' They remained like that, and his anger subsided and the fire was extinguished. When they returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'Had they entered it, they would never have come out of it. Obedience is only in what is right.'
