حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كُسِرَتْ رُبَاعِيَتُهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَشُجَّ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ حَتَّى سَالَ الدَّمُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ، وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ had his incisor broken on the day of Uhud, and his forehead was wounded until blood flowed over his face. He said: 'How can a people prosper who did this to their Prophet while he calls them to their Lord?' Then this verse was revealed: 'You have no part in the matter, whether He turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.'
