حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيِّبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حِمَارٍ - وَهُوَ ذَاهِبٌ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ - وَالْقِبْلَةُ خَلْفَهُ

يرويه داود بن قيس الفراء واختلف عنه فرواه إسماعيل بن عمر أبو المنذر عن داود بن قيس عن ابن عجلان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن أنس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وخالفه عبد الله بن المسبح وإسحاق بن سليمان بن الرازي فروياه عن داود بن قيس عن يحيى بن سعيد عن أنس مرفوعا أيضا ولم يذكرا فيه عن ابن عجلان وخالفهم مالك بن أنس وابن عيينة ووهيب ويحيى القطان وعمرو بن الحارث وزهير وعبيد الله بن عمرو وعبد الوهاب الثقفي وعبد العزيز القسملي وزفر بن الهذيل وهشيم وعبد الرحمن بن اليمان شيخ يروي عنه الأوزاعي فقط والدراوردي وأبو حمزة السكري وعبدة بن سليمان فرووه عن يحيى بن سعيد عن أنس موقوفا وهو الصواب

Saʿīd, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ. He was contradicted by ʿAbdullāh b. al-Musabbiḥ and Isḥāq b. Sulaymān al-Rāzī, who narrated it from Dāwūd b. Qays, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Anas, also as attributed to the Prophet (marfūʿ), and they did not mention Ibn ʿAjlān in it. They were contradicted by Mālik b. Anas, Ibn ʿUyaynah, Wuhayb, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith, Zuhayr, ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAmr, ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī, ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Qasmalī, Zufar b. al-Hudhayl, Hushaym, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Yamān (a shaykh from whom only al-Awzāʿī narrates), al-Darāwardī, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and ʿAbdah b. Sulaymān. They narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Anas, as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf), and that is the correct version.
