Show the chain

✧ Fatima sent to Abu Bakr, saying: “What is the matter with you, O successor of the Messenger of God ﷺ? Did you inherit the Messenger of God, or his family?” He said: “No, rather his family.” She said: “Then what about the share of the Messenger of God ﷺ?” He said: “I heard him say: ‘When God feeds a prophet a morsel and then takes him to Himself, He assigns it to the one who comes after him.’ So I considered—I, after him—that I should return it to the Muslims.” She said: “You and what you heard from the Messenger of God.”
