حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ حَارِثَةَ خَرَجَ نَظَّارًا فَأَتَاهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَدْ عَرَفْتَ مَوْضِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي، فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ، وَإِلَّا رَأَيْتَ مَا أَصْنَعُ، قَالَ: يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ، إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ لَفِي أَفْضَلِهَا. أَوْ قَالَ: فِي أَعَلَى الْفِرْدَوْسِ.

✧ Harithah went out as a scout, and an arrow struck him and killed him. His mother said: O Messenger of Allah, you know the place of Harithah in my heart. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, you will see what I do. He said: O mother of Harithah, it is not one Paradise, but many gardens, and Harithah is in the best of them. Or he said: In the highest Firdaws.
