حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَاسِرٍ عَمَّارُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، قَالَ:

مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ السُّنْبُلَةِ تَمِيلُ أَحْيَانًا وَتَسْتَقِيمُ أَحْيَانًا، وَمَثَلُ أُمَّتِي كَمَثَلِ الْمَطَرِ لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أَوْ آخِرُهُ

Translation

✧ The likeness of the believer is the likeness of an ear of grain: it bends at times and stands upright at times. And the likeness of my community is like the rain: one does not know whether its beginning is better or its end.
