حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:

أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى وَضَعَ قَدَمَهُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ، فَعَلَّمَنَا مَا نَقُولُ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا: ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَسْبِيحَةً، وَثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَحْمِيدَةً، وَأَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: فَمَا تَرَكْتُهَا بَعْدُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to us and even placed his foot between me and Fatimah, and taught us what to say when we took to our beds: thirty-three glorifications, thirty-three praises, and thirty-four magnifications. He said: 'Ali said: I have never abandoned it since. A man said to him: Not even the night of Siffin? He said: Not even the night of Siffin.
