✧ Umm Sulaym was with Abū Ṭalḥah on the day of Khaybar, and she had a dagger with her. Abū Ṭalḥah said to her: “Umm Sulaym, what is this?” She said: “A dagger I took up so that if any of the polytheists comes near me, I will rip him open.” Abū Ṭalḥah said: “O Messenger of Allah, do you not hear what Umm Sulaym says? She says such-and-such”—something that escaped Abū Ḥarb—“she will kill them.” He said: “Allah has sufficed and been gracious.”
