حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ مُحْتَسِبٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَأَنْ أَقْعُدَ مَعَ أَقْوَامٍ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ، دِيَةُ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا، وَلَأَنْ أَقْعُدَ مَعَ أَقْوَامٍ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ، دِيَةُ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا

✧ To sit with people who remember God after the dawn prayer until the sun rises is dearer to me than freeing four descendants of Ishmael, the blood money of each man being twelve thousand. And to sit with people who remember God after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets is dearer to me than freeing four descendants of Ishmael, the blood money of each man being twelve thousand.
