حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ:
سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ، عَنْ خِضَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: لَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أَعُدَّ شَمَطَاتٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ لَفَعَلْتُ، وَقَالَ: لَمْ يَخْتَضِبْ، وَقَدِ اخْتَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ، وَاخْتَضَبَ عُمَرُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ
Translation

✧ Anas was asked about the Messenger of Allah's dyeing. He said: 'If I wished to count white hairs in his head, I could do so.' And he said: 'He did not dye.' Abu Bakr dyed with henna and katam, and 'Umar dyed with henna.
