✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ hardly had any gray hair, but Abu Bakr and Umar after him dyed with henna and katam. He said: And Abu Bakr brought his father Abu Quhafah to the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of the conquest of Makkah, carrying him until he placed him before the Messenger of God ﷺ. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to Abu Bakr: If you had kept the old man in his house, we would have come to him, as an honor to Abu Bakr. Then he embraced Islam while his beard and head were as white as the thaghamah plant. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Change them and keep black away from him.
