✧ When this verse was revealed: 'O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet and do not speak loudly to him,' Thabit b. Qays b. Shammas sat in his house and said: 'I am the one who used to raise his voice and speak loudly to him, and I am among the people of the Fire.' The Prophet ﷺ missed him and they informed him. He said: 'Rather, he is among the people of Paradise.' Anas said: 'We used to see him walking among us, and we knew that he was among the people of Paradise. When the day of Yamama came and that rout occurred, he put on his garments, perfumed himself, advanced, and fought until he was killed.'
