✧ Thabit al-Bunani from Anas

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا لَعِقَ أَصَابِعَهُ الثَّلَاثَ، وَقَالَ: إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيُمِطْ عَنْهَا الْأَذَى وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ. وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْلِتَ الصَّحْفَةَ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهِ

✧ When he ate food, he would lick his three fingers and said: "If a morsel of one of you falls, let him remove the dirt from it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan." And he ordered us to wipe the dish clean, and said: "One of you does not know in which part of his food the blessing lies."
