حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ قَالَ:

لَا تُوَاصِلُوا، قَالُوا: فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ، قَالَ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ، إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى

Translation

✧ Do not practice continuous fasting. They said: 'But you practice continuous fasting.' He said: 'I am not like any one of you; I am fed and given to drink.'
