حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءَ فَأَنْزَلَتْ فَعَلَيْهَا الْغُسْلُ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، يَكُونُ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، مَاءُ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ، وَمَاءُ الْمَرْأَةِ رَقِيقٌ أَصْفَرُ، فَأَيُّمَا سَبَقَ أَوْ عَلَا أَشْبَهَهُ الْوَلَدُ

Translation

✧ Umm Sulaym asked the Prophet ﷺ about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "If a woman sees that fluid and ejaculates, she must perform ghusl." Umm Sulaym said: "O Messenger of God, does this happen?" He said: "Yes. The man's fluid is thick and white, and the woman's fluid is thin and yellow. Whichever of them prevails or is emitted first, the child will resemble that one."
