The servant brought a vessel containing water and a basin. Abd Khayr said: We were sitting watching him. He took the vessel with his right hand and poured it over his left hand and washed his palms three times. Abd Khayr said: All of that without putting his hand into the vessel until he had washed it three times. Then he put his right hand into the vessel and took a mouthful of water, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose and expelled it with his left hand three times. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his right hand three times up to the elbow. Then he washed his left hand three times. Then he put his right hand into the vessel until the water covered it, then lifted it with what it carried of water, then wiped it with his left hand. Then he wiped his head with both hands together.
