حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحٌ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:

جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ، وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ، فِي غَيْرِ سَفَرٍ وَلَا مَطَرٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا أَرَادَ بِذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: أَرَادَ التَّوْسِعَةَ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined zuhr and 'asr, and maghrib and 'isha, without being on a journey and without rain. He said: I said: What did he intend by that? He said: He intended to make things easier for his community.
