حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ. عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:

قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا لَكَ تَنَوَّقُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَتَدَعُنَا ؟ قَالَ: وَعِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْنَا: نَعَمِ، ابْنَةُ حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: إِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِي، هِيَ ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ

✧ I said: O Messenger of God, why do you choose women from Quraysh and leave us? He said: Do you have anyone? We said: Yes, the daughter of Hamza. He said: She is not lawful for me; she is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding.
