أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى، قَالَ: قُرِئَ عَلَى بِشْرِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ: أَخْبَرَكُمْ أَبُو يُوسُفَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:
نَهَانِي خَلِيلِي عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ، وَأَمَرَنِي بِثَلَاثٍ: نَهَانِي أَنْ أَنْقُرَ نَقْرَ الدِّيكِ، وَأَنْ أَلْتَفِتَ الْتِفَاتَ الثَّعْلَبِ، أَوْ أُقْعِيَ إِقْعَاءَ السَّبُعِ، وَأَمَرَنِي بِالْوِتْرِ قَبْلَ النَّوْمِ، وَصَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَصَلَاةِ الضُّحَى

✧ My intimate friend forbade me three things and commanded me three things: he forbade me from pecking like a rooster, from turning around like a fox, and from squatting like a beast of prey. He commanded me to pray witr before sleeping, to fast three days of every month, and to pray the Duha prayer.
