✧ A delegation of Banu Asad came to the Prophet ﷺ and spoke, and they were eloquent. They said: "O Messenger of God, all of Mudar fought you, but we did not fight you. We are not fewer than them in number, nor less in strength, and we have maintained ties of kinship with you." When the Messenger of God ﷺ heard their words, he said to Abu Bakr and Umar: "Do they speak like this?" He said: "O Messenger of God, their understanding is indeed little, and Satan indeed speaks upon their tongues."
