✧ A man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ with an egg of gold that he had found in one of the military expeditions, and said, 'Take it, O Messenger of God, as charity, for by God, I have not woken up owning anything besides it.' He turned away from him. Then he came to him from his left and said the same, then he came to him from in front of him and said the same. He said, 'Give it to me,' angrily, took it and threw it at him with a throw that, had it hit him, would have wounded or injured him. Then he said, 'One of you brings all his wealth and gives it as charity, then sits and begs from people. Indeed, there is no charity except from surplus wealth.'
