حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَزَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَازِعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:
كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ بَدْرٍ إِذْ تَبَسَّمَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ، قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، رَأَيْنَاكَ تَبَسَّمْتَ ؟ قَالَ: مَرَّ بِي مِيكَائِيلُ، وَعَلَى جَنَاحِهِ أَثَرُ غُبَارٍ وَهُوَ رَاجِعٌ مِنْ طَلَبِ الْقَوْمِ، فَضَحِكَ إِلَيَّ فَتَبَسَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِ

✧ We were praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of Badr when he smiled in his prayer. When he finished the prayer, we said: O Messenger of Allah, we saw you smile. He said: Mikail passed by me, and on his wing there was a trace of dust, and he was returning from pursuing the people, and he laughed at me, so I smiled at him.
