✧ While the Prophet ﷺ was praying Asr during the Battle of Badr, he smiled during the prayer. When he completed the prayer, they said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you smiled while you were in prayer?!' He ﷺ said, 'Indeed, Mikail (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while returning from pursuing the people, and there was dust on his wing. He smiled at me, so I smiled back at him.'

machine translationIbn Ḥibbān narrated it in the Book of the Weak Narrators (al-Ḍuʿafāʾ) and found it defective because of al-Wāziʿ, and said that he commits many errors (kathīr al-wahm), so relying on him as evidence is invalid.
