حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ، وَآخُذُ قَبْضَةً مِنَ الْحَصَا فَأَجْعَلُهَا فِي كَفِّي، ثُمَّ أُحَوِّلُهَا إِلَى الْكَفِّ الْأُخْرَى حَتَّى تَبْرُدَ، ثُمَّ أَضَعُهَا لِجَبِينِي حَتَّى أَسْجُدَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ

Translation

✧ I used to pray the noon prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would take a handful of pebbles and place them in my palm, then transfer them to the other palm until they cooled, then place them for my forehead so that I could prostrate, due to the intense heat.
