وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ خَالٌ لِي مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يَرْقِي مِنَ الْحَيَّةِ، فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرُّقَى، فَأَتَاهُ خَالِي فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّكَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الرُّقَى، وَإِنِّي أَرْقِي مِنَ الْحَيَّةِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: اعْرِضْهَا عَلَيَّ، قَالَ: فَعَرَضَهَا عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ بِهَذِهِ، هَذِهِ مِنَ الْمَوَاثِيقِ
Translation

✧ I had a maternal uncle from the Anṣār who used to perform ruqyah for snakebite. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade ruqyah, so my uncle came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, you forbade ruqyah, but I perform ruqyah for snakebite." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Present it to me." He said: So he presented it to him. He said: "There is no harm in this. This is from the covenants."
