✧ Ibn Umar told him that he had divorced his wife once while she was menstruating. Umar consulted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: 'Tell Abdullah b. Umar to take her back, then keep her until she becomes pure from this menstruation. Then when she menstruates another time and becomes pure, if he wishes he may divorce her before having intercourse with her, and if he wishes he may keep her. That is the waiting period in which Allah commanded women to be divorced.'
