حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الْبَجَلِيِّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَمِيَتْ إِصْبَعُهُ فِي بَعْضِ الْمَشَاهِدِ، فَقَالَ: هَلْ أَنْتِ إِلَّا إِصْبَعٌ دَمِيتِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتِ.
Translation

✧ The finger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bled during one of the battles, and he said: 'Are you anything but a finger that has bled, and in the cause of Allah what you have met?'
