✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on this pulpit: What is the matter with men who say that the kinship of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ will not benefit his people? Indeed, by Allah, my kinship is connected in this world and the Hereafter, and indeed I, O people, am a forerunner for you at the Cistern. When you come, one man will say: O Messenger of Allah, I am so-and-so son of so-and-so, and another will say: I am so-and-so son of so-and-so. Then I will say: As for the lineage, I have recognized it, but you introduced innovations after me and you turned back on your heels.
