حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ - قَالَ: وَكَانَ مَا عَلِمْتُ شُجَاعًا عِنْدَ اللِّقَاءِ، بَكَّاءً عِنْدَ الذِّكْرِ - عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ:
كُنْتُ فِي عِصَابَةٍ مِنْ ضُعَفَاءِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ قَالَ: وَإِنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَيَسْتَتِرُ بِبَعْضٍ مِنَ الْعُرْيِ، قَالَ: وَقَارِئٌ لَنَا يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا، فَنَحْنُ نَسْتَمِعُ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللهِ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ عَلَيْنَا، فَلَمَّا قَامَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَكَتَ الْقَارِئُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " مَا كُنْتُمْ تَصْنَعُونَ ؟ ". قَالَ: فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَانَ قَارِئٌ يَقْرَأُ وَكُنَّا نَسْتَمِعُ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللهِ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي أُمَّتِي مَنْ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَصْبِرَ مَعَهُمْ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَسْطَنَا لِيَعْدِلَ نَفْسَهُ فِينَا، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ اسْتَدِيرُوا، فَاسْتَدَارَتِ الْحَلْقَةُ وَبَرَزَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ لَهُ، قَالَ: فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَرَفَ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا غَيْرِي، فَقَالَ: " أَبْشِرُوا يَا مَعْشَرَ صَعَالِيكِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ بِالنُّورِ الدَّائِمِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ أَغْنِيَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِنِصْفِ يَوْمٍ، وَذَاكَ خَمْسُمِائَةِ سَنَةٍ

✧ I was among a band of weak emigrants, and some of them would screen themselves with one another due to nakedness. There was a reciter among us reciting to us, and we were listening to the Book of Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and stood over us. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood over us, the reciter fell silent. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'What were you doing?' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, a reciter was reciting and we were listening to the Book of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Praise be to Allah who has placed in my Ummah those with whom I have been commanded to be patient.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat in our midst to make himself equal among us. Then he gestured with his hand: 'Form a circle.' So the circle turned and their faces became visible to him. I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recognize any of them except me. He said: 'Rejoice, O company of poor emigrants, with the everlasting light on the Day of Resurrection. You will enter Paradise before the rich believers by half a day, and that is five hundred years.'
