A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and she was accompanied by her daughter who wore two heavy gold bangles in her hands. He said to her: Do you pay zakat on them? She said: No. He then said: Are you pleased that Allah may put two bangles of fire on your hands? Thereupon she took them off and placed them before the Prophet ﷺ saying: They are for Allah and His Apostle.

machine translationThere is no criticism of its chain of transmission (isnād). Abū Dāwūd narrated it from Abū Kāmil al-Jaḥdarī and Ḥumayd b. Masʿadah, and both are trustworthy (thiqāt), and Muslim used them as evidence. Khālid b. al-Ḥārith is an imām and jurist (faqīh), whom al-Bukhārī and Muslim used as evidence. Likewise Ḥusayn b. Dhakwān al-Muʿallim, whom they both used as evidence in the Ṣaḥīḥ, and Ibn al-Madīnī, Ibn Maʿīn and Abū Ḥātim declared him trustworthy. As for ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb, he is well known. This is a chain by which proof is established, if Allah the Exalted wills.
