أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ
﴿وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَيَبْعَثَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ يَسُومُهُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ ﴾قَالَ: " يَبْعَثُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ، فَهُمْ فِي عَذَابٍ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ "
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, from Maʿmar, from Qatādah
✧ "And [mention] when your Lord declared that He would surely send against them until the Day of Resurrection those who would afflict them with the worst torment." He said: "He sent against them the living Arabs, so they are in torment from them until the Day of Resurrection."
