✧ The jizyah

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ:
﴿لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ﴾قَالَ: يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ
Translation
✧ "For them in this world is disgrace." He said: They give the jizyah from hand while they are humbled.
