✧ The jizyah

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ
فِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ﴾قَالَ: " أَغْنَاهُمُ اللهُ بِالْجِزْيَةِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَهْرًا بِشَهْرٍ، وَعَامًا بِعَامٍ "
Translation
✧ Regarding His saying: "And if you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you from His bounty," he said: "Allah enriched them with the jizyah, which flows month by month and year by year."
