✧ The dispute between Ali and al-Abbas

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَمْرَةَ، قَالَا:
إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَرْسَلْنَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ يَسْأَلْنَ مِيرَاثَهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ عَائِشَةُ: أَلَا تَتَّقِينَ اللهَ ؟ أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا نُورَثُ، مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ ؟ قَالَ: فَرَضِينَ بِقَوْلِهَا، وَتَرَكْنَ ذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ The wives of the Prophet ﷺ sent to Abu Bakr asking for their inheritance from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Aishah sent to them: Do you not fear Allah? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not say: We are not inherited from; what we leave is charity? So they accepted her statement and abandoned that.
