✧ The Battle of Uhud

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ
فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ، دَعَا الْمُسْلِمِينَ لِطَلَبِ الْكُفَّارِ، فَاسْتَجَابُوا فَطَلَبُوهُمْ عَامَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﴿الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ ﴾الْآيَةَ ".
Translation
✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ entered the mosque, he called upon the Muslims to pursue the disbelievers. They responded and pursued them for most of the day, then the Messenger of God ﷺ returned with them. Then God revealed: "Those who responded to God and the Messenger after the wound had struck them"—the verse.
