عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ
فِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ ﴾قَالَ: اسْتَفْتَحَ أَبُو جَهْلِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَيُّنَا كَانَ أَفْجَرَ لَكَ وَأَقْطَعَ لِلرَّحِمِ فَأَحِنْهُ الْيَوْمَ
Translation

✧ Regarding His saying: "If you seek victory, then victory has come to you." He said: Abu Jahl b. Hisham sought victory and said: "O Allah, whichever of us was more wicked toward You and more severing of kinship, destroy him today."
