عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ:
كَانَ هِرَقْلُ حَزَّاءً يَنْظُرُ فِي النُّجُومِ، فَأَصْبَحَ يَوْمًا وَقَدْ أَنْكَرَ أَهْلُ مَجْلِسِهِ هَيْئَتَهُ فَقَالُوا: مَا شَأْنُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: نَظَرْتُ فِي النُّجُومِ اللَّيْلَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ مُلْكَ الْخِتَانِ قَدْ ظَهَرَ قَالُوا: فَلَا يَشُقُّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْكَ، فَإِنَّمَا يَخْتَتِنُ الْيَهُودُ، فَابْعَثْ إِلَى مَدَائِنِكَ فَاقْتُلْ كُلَّ يَهُودِيٍّ. قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: وَكَتَبَ إِلَى نَظِيرٍ لَهُ حَزَّاءٍ أَيْضًا، يَنْظُرُ فِي النُّجُومِ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ قَوْلِهِ قَالَ: وَرَفَعَ إِلَيْهِ مَلِكُ بُصْرَى رَجُلًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يُخْبِرُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " انْظُرُوا أَمُخْتَتِنٌ هُوَ ؟ " قَالُوا: فَنَظَرُوا فَإِذَا هُوَ مُخْتَتِنٌ فَقَالُوا: هَذَا مُلْكُ الْخِتَانِ قَدْ ظَهَرَ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, who said:
✧ Heraclius was an astrologer who looked into the stars. One morning he appeared and the people of his assembly were alarmed by his appearance. They said: "What is the matter with you?" He said: "I looked into the stars last night and saw that the kingdom of circumcision has appeared." They said: "Do not let that trouble you, for only the Jews practice circumcision. Send to your cities and kill every Jew." Al-Zuhri said: He wrote to a counterpart of his, also an astrologer who looked into the stars, and the counterpart wrote back to him with the same opinion. He said: The king of Busra brought to him a man from the Arabs who reported about the Prophet ﷺ. He said: "Check whether he is circumcised." They looked and found he was circumcised, and they said: "This is the kingdom of circumcision that has appeared."
