عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: "
جَاءَ بِي أَبِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ، فَلَمْ يُجِزْنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِي يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ، وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ فَفَرَضَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ " قَالَ نَافِعٌ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فَأَمَرَ: " أَنْ لَا يُفْرَضَ إِلَّا لِابْنِ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ
Translation
✧ My father brought me to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud, and I was fourteen years old, but the Prophet ﷺ did not permit me. Then he brought me on the day of the Trench, and I was fifteen years old, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ assigned a stipend for me.” Nafi' said: “I narrated this to Umar b. Abd al-Aziz, and he commanded that a stipend should not be assigned except for a fifteen-year-old.”
