عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ حَمَّادًا، عَنْ نَاسٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحَرْبِ صَالَحَهُمْ أَهْلُ الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى أَلْفِ رَأْسٍ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ، فَكَانَ يَسْبِي بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا وَيُؤَدِّيهِ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ يُؤَدُّونَهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ شَاءُوا
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, he said:
✧ I asked Ḥammād about some people of war with whom the Muslims made peace for a thousand head each year, and some of them would capture others and hand them over. He said: There is no harm in that; they hand them over from wherever they wish.
