عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ يَقُولُ:
نص إضافيكَانَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْغُسْلِ، وَكَانَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ يَقُولُونَ: الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَمَنْ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ وَقَالَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ: إِذَا مَسَّ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ، فَحَكَّمُوا بَيْنَهُمْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ رَجُلًا يُدْخِلُ وَيُخْرِجُ أَيَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ ؟ قَالَ: فَيُوجِبُ الْحَدَّ، وَلَا يُوجِبُ عَلَيْهِ صَاعًا مِنْ مَاءٍ ؟ فَقَضَى لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ: رُبَّمَا فَعَلْنَا ذَلِكَ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقُمْنَا وَاغْتَسَلْنَا
Translation
✧ Additional text: The Muhajirun used to command ghusl, while the Ansar used to say, "Water is from water." Who will decide between these two? The Muhajirun said, "When the circumcised part touches the circumcised part, ghusl becomes obligatory." So they appointed 'Ali b. Abi Talib as judge between them, and they brought their dispute to him. He said, "What do you think? If you saw a man inserting and withdrawing, would the hadd punishment be obligatory on him?" He said, "So the hadd would be obligatory, and yet no sa' of water would be obligatory on him?" So he ruled in favor of the Muhajirun. That reached 'A'ishah, and she said, "Often the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I did that, and we got up and performed ghusl."
