عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
اسْتَلْقَى الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ، فَتَرَنَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَنَسٌ: " اذْكُرِ اللهَ يَا أَخِي، فَاسْتَوَى جَالِسًا " وَقَالَ: أَيْ أَنَسُ أَتُرَانِي أَمُوتُ عَلَى فِرَاشِي، وَقَدْ قَتَلْتُ مِائَةً مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مُبَارَزَةً سِوَى مَا شَارَكْتُ فِي قَتْلِهِ
Translation
✧ Al-Bara' b. Malik lay on his back and began to hum. Anas said to him: 'Remember Allah, my brother.' He sat up straight and said: 'O Anas, do you think I will die on my bed when I have killed a hundred of the polytheists in single combat, besides those I shared in killing?'
