عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبٌ الْوَلِيدُ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ جَيْشًا قَالَ: " انْطَلِقُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ وَبِاللهِ، وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، تُقَاتِلُونَ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللهِ، أَبْعَثُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تَغُلُّوا، وَلَا تَجْبُنُوا، وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا، وَلَا تَحْرِقُوا كَنِيسَةً، وَلَا تَعْقِرُوا نَخْلًا "، وَبَعَثَ إِنْسَانًا إِلَى إِنْسَانٍ أَنْ يَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ: " حَرِّقُوهُ " ثُمَّ قَالَ: " لَا تُعَذِّبْ بِعَذَابِ اللهِ
Translation
✧ When he sent out an army, he said: "Go forth in the name of God and with God, and in the path of God. You will fight those who disbelieve in God. I send you out on condition that you do not steal from the spoils, do not be cowardly, do not mutilate, do not kill a child, do not burn a church, and do not cut down a palm tree." He sent a person to a person who had lied to him in Yemen and said: "Burn him." Then he said: "Do not punish with the punishment of God."
