✧ The Ruin of the House

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ:
بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الْحُصَيْنَ بْنَ نُمَيْرٍ حِينَ نَصَبَ الْمَنْجَنِيقَ عَلَى الْكَعْبَةِ طَلَعَتْ سَحَابَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ نَحْوَ أَبِي قُبَيْسٍ فَرَعَدَتْ، ثُمَّ صَعَقَتْ فَاحْتَرَقَتِ الْمَنْجَنِيقُ، وَاحْتَرَقَ تَحْتَهُ سَبْعُونَ رَجُلًا ".
Translation
✧ It reached me that al-Husayn b. Numayr, when he set up the mangonel against the Kaaba, a white cloud appeared toward Abu Qubays, then it thundered, then it sent a thunderbolt, so the mangonel burned, and seventy men beneath it burned.”
