✧ The Ruin of the House

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ شَابُورَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا أَرَادَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ هَدْمَهَا هَرَبْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ فَلَبِثْنَا ثَلَاثًا، وَنَحْنُ نَخَافُ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْعَذَابُ.
Translation
✧ When Ibn al-Zubayr wanted to demolish it, we fled from Makkah and stayed away for three days, fearing that punishment would descend upon us.
