✧ Spitting in the Hijr

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ " تَنَخَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَلَمْ يُغَيِّبْهَا، فَجَاءُوا مَعَهُ بِمِصْبَاحٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَلْتَقِطُهَا بِرِدَائِهِ وَيَتَتَبَّعُهَا بِهِ
Translation
✧ I was told that Abū ʿUbaydah b. al-Jarrāḥ expectorated in the mosque and then left without burying it. So they brought a lamp with him, and he began picking it up with his cloak and searching for it with it.
