عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ:
دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ طَلْحَةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ بِمِفْتَاحِ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِ مَكْشُوفًا حَتَّى دَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، اجْمَعْ لِي الْحِجَابَةَ مَعَ السِّقَايَةِ، وَنَزَلَ الْوَحْيُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " ادْعُوا لِي عُثْمَانَ بْنَ طَلْحَةَ "، فَدُعِيَ لَهُ، فَدَفَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَيْهِ، وَسَتَرَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: فَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ مَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: خُذُوهُ يَا بَنِي طَلْحَةَ لَا يَنْتَزِعُهُ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا ظَالِمٌ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ called Uthman b. Talha on the day of the conquest for the key of the Kaaba, and he came with it openly until he handed it to the Prophet ﷺ. Al-Abbas said: 'O Prophet of God, combine for me the guardianship with the water-giving.' And revelation descended upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'Summon Uthman b. Talha for me.' So he was summoned, and the Prophet ﷺ handed it to him, and covered it over him. He said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ was the first to cover it over him.' Then he said: 'Take it, O sons of Talha, with no one seizing it from you except an oppressor.'
