عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُمْ بِالطَّوَافِ، وَلَمْ تُؤْمَرُوا بِدُخُولِهِ " قَالَ: " لَمْ يَكُنْ يَنْهَى عَنْ دُخُولِهِ ". وَلَكِنْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَمَّا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ دَعَا فِي نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَقَالَ: " هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ " قُلْتُ: مَا نَوَاحِيهِ ؟ أَفِي زَوَايَاهُ ؟ قَالَ: " بَلْ فِي كُلِّ قِبْلَةٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: I heard Ibn ʿAbbās say: “You have been commanded only to perform ṭawāf, and you have not been commanded to enter it.” He said: “He did not forbid entering it, but I heard him say: Usāma b. Zayd informed me from the Prophet ﷺ that when he entered the House, he supplicated in all its corners and did not pray inside it until he exited. When he exited, he prayed two rakʿahs facing the qibla, and said: ‘This is the qibla.’” I said: What are its corners? In its angles? He said: “Rather, in every direction of the House.”
